Our Church History
NCC is an exciting, multiracial church located in Dolton, Illinois. Our story began as Lorimer Memorial Baptist Church, where God laid a strong foundation of faith, teaching, and service. From the very beginning, God has been faithfully changing lives, growing believers, and equipping workers at every turn.
As the church grew and the community around us evolved, God led us into a new season—becoming New Community Church—with a renewed vision to reach diverse people, strengthen families, and impact both our neighborhood and the nations.
Today, NCC is proudly affiliated with Converge Worldwide and locally with Converge Mid-America, partnering with like-minded churches to advance the gospel through church planting, missions, and leadership development.

New Community Church (NCC) exists to love God, love people, and make disciples—locally and globally. We are committed to building a Christ-centered, multiracial community where lives are transformed, believers are strengthened, and servants are equipped to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
Rooted in faith and guided by the Great Commission, we serve our local community with compassion while extending God’s love beyond borders through global missions, partnerships, and outreach. Whether across the street or across the world, we believe every person matters and every act of service can change a life.
